Interested in volunteering on the Continental Divide Trail? Wondering what trail stewardship looks like beyond a weekend project? Consider adopting your own section of the CDT in Montana!
Join the Continental Divide Trail Coalition (CDTC) at Twin Lakes Trailhead on July 10 for a hands-on training day where you’ll learn the ins and outs of becoming a CDT Adopter — what it means, what’s involved, and how you can make a lasting impact on the trail. We’ll also dive into trail maintenance techniques so you leave with real skills you can use all season long.
No experience necessary — we’ll meet you where you are. All tools and safety equipment are provided by CDTC, and food is included. It’s completely free to participate; you just need to get yourself to the trailhead.
This is an easy to moderate difficulty project and a great entry point whether you’re a seasoned trail volunteer or brand new to stewardship.
